Issue:
After activating Module 38 License on my Yanhua Mini ACDP2 and connecting ACDP BDC3/BCP solder-free adapter, I attempted to read the key data for a BMW G-Series. Unfortunately, the process failed.

ACDP2.EU engineer replied:
Yanhua ACDP2 NCF-KEY adapter communication error for BDC3/BCP keys is often caused by selecting the wrong menu option, particularly when using unencrypted Hungarian keys. Choose “Data transfer for BDC03/BCP key” instead of the encrypted key option. Ensure you are using an original BMW key and have active Module 38.
Key Solutions for NCF-KEY Communication Error:
1.Select Correct Function: For BDC3/BCP keys, select “Data transfer for BDC03/BCP key” to handle unencrypted (e.g., Hungarian) keys properly.

2.Check Key Type: The system only supports copying to an original BMW BDC3/BCP key, not aftermarket alternatives.
3.Recheck Hardware Connections: Ensure Yanhua ACDP2 is securely connected to the BDC3 interface board, and the interface board is correctly positioned on the BDC module.
4.Use Proper License: Verify Yanhua Module 38 (BDC2/BDC3/BCP key programming) is activated on your ACDP2 device.
5.Device Connection: If the issue is with PC connectivity rather than the adapter, try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable, or changing the IP/DNS settings in Network Settings.
Important Reminders:
- No All Key Lost (AKL): This function currently only supports adding a key (copy), not “all keys lost” situations for BDC3.
- Unencrypted vs. Encrypted: Hungarian keys (unencrypted) need to be treated differently than encrypted keys, which require specific encrypted key adapters
