This guide explains the procedure for cloning a Bosch 6HP gearbox TCU from VAG group vehicles (Volkswagen, Audi) using Yanhua Mini ACDP2 or ACDP programmer.
Required Equipment:
You will need Yanhua Module 32 with its corresponding interface board. Please note that Module 32 can also be used for cloning gearbox TCUs from the EDC16 series via K-line.
Cloning Procedure:
- Power on your Yanhua Mini ACDP1 or ACDP2device.
- Launch Mini ACDP APP
- Verify that the device is properly connected and recognized by the software.
- Navigate to the menu: Module -> K-line module clone.
- Select the option for 6HP Bosch (VAG). It is recommended to click the Help button to view the correct wiring diagram for your specific TCU.
- Physically connect your ACDP/ACDP 2to the Transmission Control Unit (TCU) using the Module 32 interface board.
- Within the software, confirm the selection of 6HP Bosch (VAG).
- Click the Identify button to read the module’s information. Save this data securely.
- Proceed to “Full backup data” to read the chip information from the original TCU. Save this data file.
- Now, disconnect and connect your Mini ACDP2 key programmer to the donor/replacement 6HP gearbox TCU using the same wiring diagram.
- Read the chip data from this donor TCU and save the file.
- Select the Full write data function in the software.
- Choose the original 6HP data file that you saved in step 9 and write it to the donor TCU.
- Once the writing process is complete, the clone is finished. You may now install the newly programmed gearbox TCU into the vehicle.
